Montrose County, Colorado at 20:20 UTC on 16 Aug 2005 1.00 inch hail was reported in Montrose. Further west into Utah, the storms were more intense. Flash flooding occurred in Moab. The big story was the large hail in the Green River, UT area (not much out there, take my word for it). At 23:45 UTC 1.50 inch hail was reported in Castle Dale, and at 00:00 UTC golfball hail was reported 20 miles southwest of Green River.
